Your HR Group is an Administrative Services Organization (ASO) also known as a Human Resources Outsourcer (HRO). Many HRO’s offer and price services differently based on whether they perform one or all of following three service models:

Commodity HR Administration or Transactional HR
HR expertise when needed priced as a project or by the hour
HR expertise on retainer which is typically where a company knows they have an on-going need that requires a high level of experience and knowledge.

Your HR Group provides all three of these options. However, depending on the specific skill set needed, we may engage an expert HR consultant to help us or even a particular labor attorney that is versed in the specific need.

Our internal strength is with transactional HR where we strive to provide direct and immediate support to our clients with basic HR questions and issues at a cost that is not price prohibitive to the average small business owner. We differ from a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in that we are not considered the employer of record and do not lease your employees back to you. Our HRO model offers many advantages over the PEO model. Primarily, a substantial cost savings because we operate off of base costs versus a percentage of your payroll.

It is important to note that the PEO "co-employment" relationship is not necessary and in most cases, does not shield an employer from liability. We've found that we are able to save our clients thousands of dollars over a PEO model and deliver a more customized "hands on" service model 98% of the time. By providing services in an a la carte fashion, our clients are able to pick and choose the services that make sense for them.
